Mission. Established in 2010, the Medical Marijuana Industry Group believes in the fundamental right of patients to choose medical marijuana as guaranteed by the Colorado Constitution, Article 18, Section 14. MMIG advocates for policy that ensures that patients receive safe, legal access to quality medicine; promotes sensible, reasonable regulation of medical marijuana centers, growers, and infused products manufacturers; protects business and property rights; promotes and advances the study of medical marijuana; and educates patients about marijuana and its medicinal benefits. Be the resource for law-makers and medical marijuana patients by setting bar in terms of conduct, promoting compliance with the law as the bedrock of patient care, allowing the framework for scientific studies, and highlighting the cost to patients of regulation and prohibition type policies.
